What is Motion?
The Motion app serves as a fundamental component of the Motion Mobility Platform. It is designed to assist cities and employers across Europe and North America in implementing mobility and commuter initiatives aimed at promoting physical activity and encouraging the use of environmentally friendly transportation options.
What is it used for?
The Motion app enables users to monitor all their physical activities, including walking, running, cycling, and more, with automatic detection or manual input based on user preference. It functions as a personal activity log by automatically recognizing, categorizing, and recording various activities. The data collected is utilized to offer users financial incentives, such as gift cards or virtual debit cards (cash), through participation in organized mobility programs.

Battery consumption
When automatic tracking mode is active, the app utilizes GPS only during periods of activity or movement. During inactivity in confined areas such as home or workplace, Motion remains in low-power mode. Typical daily travel spanning two to three hours has an estimated energy impact of less than 4%. Extended activities like long hikes, bike rides, or drives may consume between 4% and 8%, or higher depending on the duration and intensity of your activities.
